Sean’s Story Behind LedgerEdge Bookkeeping

After years of working alongside small business owners, I noticed they wear many hats—sales, marketing, HR, bookkeeping, and more.

One day, while helping a business owner sell his company, he shared that his outdated financial records were because he was ‘all in’ on sales and marketing.

He admitted he didn’t enjoy bookkeeping, who does? (We do).

He said he only liked sending out invoices – well, I get it ‘cause I like sending out invoices too!!
Everyone likes making money.

That’s when the ‘ah ha’ came to me and LedgerEdge Bookkeeping came to life!

I’ve always been a numbers nerd, so looking after business owners’ books and ending their bookkeeping suffering just seemed like a win-win partnership.

More About Sean

I’m Sean Ziesmann, and I kicked off my working life at just 12! My first ‘real’ gig was with the family business in Jasper, then I earned my University degree.

After university I spent 20 years in the Consumer Goods Industry working at Fortune 500 companies (Nabisco, Kraft, Unilever, Wrigley and Mars) before diving into some entrepreneurial adventures in retail, real estate, and consulting.

So I totally get the challenges you face running a business—especially that pesky issue of never having enough time. That’s why I started LedgerEdge Bookkeeping to give our client partners the gift of time!
